LA Colors - Nail Lacquer Pink
Disappointment. Perhaps I need to try this shade again and make it work. Looks pretty in the picture but IRL big NO!
I like the fact that it's muted, perfect for work but it's so streaky and the application is a disaster. Hopefully someday I can pluck you out from the dark corner of my nail polish storage and learn to love you again.

Caress Nail Polish in Diamond Gay
I'm pretty conservative in choosing nail colors, there are some shades I'm scared to try, one of these is GRAY (or grey, whatever) or any hue resembling it. As a lousy color snob, I believe gray will only give me streaked, sickly or ashy looking nails but boy I was so sooo wrong.
Hi, I'm D. And I love eating my words. Hehehe.
Caress Regular in Diamond Gay (not Gray!) made me a convert! This shade is so pretty in my nails as well friendly for my wallet.
Again, given it's el-cheapo price don't expect that you get the application the first time. This is not newbie friendly. I have to try 3x to get this finish. So again, long patience is required during the application process.
The shade has bluish undertones when seen in natural light. Very wearable in the office or school (I'm wearing it now :D), and did I forget to tell you how cheap this is???? LOL.

Cheap Buys - Caress Nail Polish
Whenever I feel sad or pressured, my boyf will bring me to the beauty section of Market!Market! because it is proven effective to cheer me up. With limited budget (although boyf is an enabler!), I hunt for cheaper alternatives to satisfy my addiction to nail polishes. I can say that after acquiring 10 polishes, Caress gets approval from me and my wallet!
Not too shabby right?
Well the application is quite hard using the small brush that comes with it, but you get what you pay for right? Just make sure you have your trusty base coat prior to the polish and please apply thinly! Let the coat dry completely before putting another - I swear your patience will be tested here.
The color pay-off is forgivable - even pretty in fact. Caress Nail Polishes - Regular retails for Php19.75 and Php20.75 for the Frosted variant. I can't believe I ignored this brand for years, well it's not too late to buy more!

LA Colors - Color Craze Megawatt
Ok, so not all nail polishes from LA Colors are love... Sadly, Megawatt from their Colors Craze Collection is one of them. I really tried my best to like it (very pretty in the bottle!) but I guess we're not meant for each other.
Megawatt belongs to nude/pink family with tiny gold sparkles. In the bottle it looks regal - sorta princessy, very dreamy and soft but really thin which disappointed me.
I do not have major yellow nails but in this picture it looks like I do!Perhaps Megawatt is perfect for those with fair skin and immaculate nails.
Just to show you how thin the color is, this is four coater already but looks like I have no polish whatsoever.
I will not stop you from buying it but I won't also recommend it, I can live without it. You can score LA Colors Nail Lacquers in Market!Market! for Php60.00 a pop. Not bad huh?

Etude House
Etude House
Damage: Around 2,500+++ plus more in the future!
Where to buy: Etude House, Festival Mall, Alabang, Muntinlupa City
During my early 20's I've been really addicted to Korean movies which I think now almost bordering stupid. I used to scrounge Quiapo, Greenhills and the Internet (Desperate, I tell ya) for (pirated) VCD copies of whatever movie is currently popular and most reviewed in the soompi forum (yes, another shame). I am sooo sooo envious of Korean actresses particularly how they effortlessly look natural and clean with oh so pretty lips and don't make me start with the almost poreless skin - as if they have an airbrush tool 24/7! Fast forward the years, I moved from one addiction to the another (Why, Hello The Office - Naruto - Big Bang Theory) I completely went out of touch from the korean addiction business until I stumbled onto Girltalk (again after 4 years!) and began my forum reading frenzy, concentrating in the Let's Primp and Prettify section (I've been avoiding this like plague since it caused me wallet troubles way back 2005-2006! I learned my lesson, don't worry. LOL). And there the Etude House Thread captured my heart and later on, my money - but I'm still clamoring for more.
To tell you the truth, I was pretty anxious that I may not able to purchase bazillion stuff from EH due to my skin's bitchy attitude (oily-sensitive) but I was hella wrong! The Precious BB cream/Sleeping Pack saved my face and improved it, the lip stuff were love love love - Say hello to my pretty things...

Detailed reviews of EH products will be up soon. :) Until next time.
